What is your primary product or service?
We offer many programs: Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, Full Day Kindergarten, Before/After School Care, Summer Camp, Care until Midnight and Kid's Night Out every Friday night.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Penny Lane Schools' owner was a full time teacher in the public schools and wanted care for her two young children. She was looking for an educational environment that not only taught her children needed development, but was also loving, safe and fun. She wanted them to have home cooked, warm meals and have a clean place to play and take a nap. As a parent, she needed to feel 100% sure that her children were in the best possible school. It was only then that she could do her best work. That is the reason Penny Lane Schools was started and that they are well respected today. We provide the best for children and families.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Penny Lane places and emphasis on quality education and in the regard we maintain the most rigorous National Accreditation available (NAEYC). We also have participated in Illinois' Quality Improvement System since its start. We maintain a Gold Cirlcle of Excellence from IL ExceleRate program. We also try to meet the needs of all families by offering unique services like our Night Care program until Midnight and our weekly Kid's NIght Out program.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 3 locations. One located in Chicago Ridge and two in Oak Lawn. Our newest location is based at the Dist 218 administrative offices, serving district teachers' children, however it is open to the public. Tours are available between 8am and 5pm without an appointment.

Penny Lane Schools is owned by Christine and Jack Bonczyk, day to day operations are run by the Executive Director along with a Director at each site.
