All 21 therapists in the group are licensed by the state and are on most insurance plans. They all work with many different problems such as depression, anxiety, and anger management but some have other special training and/or experience.

How long have you been in business?
We have been in practice for 20 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Individual, couple, and family counseling for all ages. We have bi-lingual Spanish/English therapists and two gay-identified therapists.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Terry Hefter, MA, LCPC heads up Terry Hefter Associates, LLC, a group of licensed psychotherapists in the Chicago area. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). For 11 years she worked full-time for private non-profit social service agencies doing therapy and supervision while maintaining a private practice. Since July 1995 she has been in private practice full-time with offices on the North Side of Chicago (at 1731 N. Marcey near North and Clybourn). Also. she presents workshops and classes for hospitals and businesses on mental health topics.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are full-service with 21 therapists who have just about every specialty. Our therapists are male and female, older and younger, Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic/Latino and of Asian descent. And our therapists see clients 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
