The Oldest Baptist Church in the city of Chicago!
The First Baptist Church of Chicago is the oldest Baptist Church in the city of Chicago. We were organized on the banks of the Chicago River near the old Fort Dearborn in 1833. We have served the city by organizing the first YMCA in the city. The first free kindergarten was started when we were located at 31st and King Dr. A love for the people of the city has always been a constant theme of our ministry. Wherever people need to experience God's love you will find us there.
